NEOM’s Sindalah Island officially opens

Sindalah Island, the flagship destination of Saudi Arabia’s NEOM project, officially opened on October 27, 2024

This luxury resort spans 840,000 square metres (about 200 acres) and is set to accommodate up to 2,400 guests daily by 2028, generating around 3,500 jobs. The island features around 40 dining options, including nine casual eateries and nine fine-dining restaurants.

Additionally, there are plans for a yacht club and a beach club, alongside three luxury resorts that offer a mix of hotel rooms and serviced apartments. Visitors can also look forward to a spa, 86 piers for yacht docking, and over 50 luxury retail brands. Sindalah Island is also a notable habitat for marine biodiversity, hosting more than 1,100 fish species and over 300 types of coral.

This development is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, aimed at diversifying the economy and enhancing the tourism sector. As NEOM continues to evolve, Sindalah Island represents a significant step toward the region’s future in luxury travel.
