The highlights
Our brunch experience at Maiden Shanghai was a delightful journey of innovative sips, generous sharing-style portions, and scrumptious dishes that left us thoroughly satisfied. Beginning with the refreshing Nude spritz, served in creative vessels, we found ourselves drawn to its unique blend of lavender, blue pea tea, and tonic water.
The table quickly became adorned with an array of appetising dishes, including salt and pepper prawns and tofu, juicy boom boom shredded chicken with bao buns, and a selection of vegetable spring rolls and prawn-Chilean sea bass rolls. While the stir-fried string beans may seem simplistic at first glance, their flavours were anything but, delivering a delightful surprise to our taste buds.
Moving on to the dim sum selection, we were treated to baked Wagyu beef puffs with honey sauce, steamed organic chicken siu mai, and flavourful mixed vegetable Cheung fun, all beautifully presented and accompanied by perfectly paired sauces.
The mains did not disappoint, from the wild mushroom with smoked chilli and shan cheng chilli chicken to the lightly spiced kung pao prawns and wok-fried rice noodles with black Angus beef.
As the clock struck 3pm, Maiden Shanghai surprised us with free-flowing bubbly for an entire hour, accompanied by sparklers and a delightful assortment of desserts, adding a final touch of indulgence to an already memorable dining experience.
