On Thursday, December 12th, 2024, the inaugural MICHELIN Guide awards ceremony will take place at Katara Hall, Raffles Doha

The MICHELIN Guide’s arrival is set to put Doha on the global culinary map, drawing in food enthusiasts and affluent travellers eager to experience the city’s rich gastronomic culture. The MICHELIN Guide’s famous Star ratings—awarded to the best restaurants—will be a key highlight of the ceremony.

• One MICHELIN Star: “High-quality cooking worth a stop”
• Two MICHELIN Stars: “Excellent cooking worth a detour”
• Three MICHELIN Stars: “Exceptional cuisine worth a special journey”

In addition to the Stars, restaurants offering exceptional value will be recognised with the coveted Bib Gourmand distinction.

All the restaurants chosen for the guide are evaluated based on five key factors: quality of ingredients, mastery of cooking techniques, flavour harmony, the chef’s personal expression, and consistency across the menu. The full selection of Doha’s MICHELIN-rated restaurants will be available digitally across the MICHELIN Guide’s website, mobile app, and social media platforms.

The launch event will feature an exclusive cocktail reception, where guests can experience the culinary creations of renowned chefs from around the world. Featured chefs include:

• Alleno Paris – Three MICHELIN Stars, MICHELIN Guide France 2024
• Jordanær – Three MICHELIN Stars, MICHELIN Guide Nordics 2024
• BO Innovation – Two MICHELIN Stars, MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong 2024

Guests will enjoy a specially curated menu of innovative canapés celebrating Doha’s rich culinary diversity, while having the opportunity to meet and mingle with some of the industry’s top figures.
