Mark your calendars for an exclusive two-week Shahjahanabad Festival at Purani Dilli Sheikh Zayed Road and Purani Dilli Downtown Dubai
The North Indian restaurant with two destinations in the heart of Dubai, at Purani Dilli Sheikh Zayed Road and Purani Dilli Downtown, invites diners to a delightful Shahjahanabad festival beginning from February 15 onwards.
During this special two-week pop-up, the renowned Chef Osama Jalali will take over the kitchens of Purani Dilli’s two locations. Hailing from India, specifically Delhi and Rampur (Uttar Pradesh) culinary royalty, the seasoned food writer will be reviving the recipes of Old Delhi and take diners on a sublime Mughlai dining experience for the duration of the festival.
Look forward to a creative four course menu, with starters such as Kathal ke shammi kebab (jackfruit patties) and the spiced Mutton shammi kebab (hand pounded kebabs). Your culinary journey will continue with Zafrani paneer kofte (cottage cheese dumplings in a saffron and cream-based gravy), Murgh kofte (minced chicken dumplings) and the star of the show, Mutton deghi biryani (mutton cooked in its own broth).
A grand dessert finale of Shahi tukda (fried bread in thickened sweetened milk) awaits those with a sweet tooth.
Shahjahanabad Festival at Purani Dilli Sheikh Zayed Road from February 25 to March 1 and at Purani Dilli Downtown from March to 6. Visit the website.
