7 Pinktober initiatives taking place in the UAE

As the month of Breast Cancer Awareness approaches, hotels and restaurants in the UAE are embracing remarkable endeavours to show their support and raise awareness

W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island

The B.I.G. Brunch at Garage restaurant is celebrating Pinktober with a special pink-themed event. Diners can look forward to a delightful selection of signature pink beverages and exquisite dishes, complemented by live entertainment. Highlights include a beverage trolley, a whimsical swing, and a resident DJ spinning upbeat tracks. With five diverse culinary stations to explore, this brunch promises a memorable experience. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the Pinktober brunch packages will be donated to the Al Jalila Foundation.

OKKU

OKKU is collaborating with the Al Jalila Foundation to support breast cancer treatment and research. As part of this initiative, OKKU is hosting a special L.O.V.E. Wednesday event on October 9th, where attendees can enjoy three hours of free-flowing drinks and a curated menu while contributing AED149 to the foundation.

Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort

Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort brings back its fundraising event, IGNITE Pink is Punk, featuring family-friendly activities throughout October. The festivities begin on 5 October with the IGNITE Pink is Punk Swim, offering various categories including an open swim/run and junior events, encouraging participants to wear pink and compete for spot prizes. The event series will also include a stand-up paddleboarding session on 12 October and a candlelit yoga session on 14 October, with all proceeds going to Brest Friends and the Al Jalila Foundation.

Throughout October, 10% of revenue from four signature beverages will be donated to the Emirates Cancer Foundation to support breast cancer awareness, research, and treatment. Featured drinks include Raspberry Latte, Iced Raspberry Latte, Iced Thyme Blueberry Latte, and Lemon Tart Latte. Customers can enjoy these beverages at various Drinkit locations, with part of the proceeds going to this important cause.

Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates is collaborating with Al Jalila Foundation to host an exclusive Pink Afternoon Tea at Aspen Café. Throughout the month, a selection of savoury and sweet pink-themed delicacies, including beetroot salmon with dill cream cheese and raspberry chocolate cake, will be served, with 10% of the proceeds donated to assist breast cancer patients and their families.

Unlimited tea, coffee, and optional bubbles are available, with 10% of proceeds being donated to Al Jalila Foundation.
