Mohalla, the homegrown Indian restaurant located in Dubai Design District, invites diners to enjoy aromatic Indian cuisine
Located on the ground floor of building 5 in Dubai Design District, Mohalla offers an intimate and trendy setting with al fresco dining and indoor seating options. Twinkling lights hang from the ceiling, while a mural of India’s bustling market streets covers the wall.
The restaurant, led by head chef Adwait Anantwar, has now introduced a cracking new menu brimming with spices, colours and bold Indian flavours. Take your pick from a myriad of options, including a Tandoor smoked and pulled mutton boti and cheese kulcha, served with a fried egg; an innovative Wagyu slider, with Australian Wagyu 9+ tenderloin, kasundi mayo, smokey and sweet onion sambol and Gruyère; and Keema’r doi bara, mutton and pine nut dumplings, lemon scented yogurt, mint oil, golden garlic and tamarind chutney.
Heartier options include a Rava (semolina) fried sea bass fillet, served with confit raw mango sauce, mango kachumber and burnt lemon; Grilled gorkha tiger shrimps, served with gorkha style spicy tomato sauce, coriander oil, crisp ginger, scallions and a buttered baguette; Pancho’s dahi chicken with black pepper and ghee, with a chur-chur paratha and pickled onion; or a homemade, boneless Chicken biryani.
Satisfy your sweet tooth with a rich Dark chocolate and citrus kheer, featuring 70 per cent Guanaja dark chocolate, or a Cardamom cheesecake with poached dates.
