Flow, the healthy eating and creativity hub at Jumeirah Emirates Towers Dubai, is introducing some new and re-imagined dishes based on the very best of this season’s ingredients.
From nutritionally dense ‘build your own’ oats to spicy Korean smoked haddock hash, these “Insta-worthy” dishes promise to tantalise taste buds while boosting your health.
“When ingredients are in season they have a higher nutritional value and they simply taste better. Whether it’s the mixed mushrooms in our pasta sauces, the blood oranges in our fruit compote or the beetroot on our bruschetta, we’ve based the menu around the very best of what is growing and in seasonright now,” says Molly Howlett-Huggins, Manager, Flow. “Our new dishes will stimulate your mind and your immune system and offer some surprising and unusual flavours.”
Flow also takes its new menu inspiration from global dishes, reflecting the cosmopolitan nature of its diners, and providing the chance to taste familiar dishes with a Flow twist.
The restaurant claims that even the most ardent foodies will be Googling some of the ingredients on the new menu, from South American canihua and choclo to tiger’s milk and bahrati spices.
Flow’s ‘Build Your Own Oats’ section gives diners total control over their morning nutrition, offering toppings rich in Omega 3 such as flax seeds and walnuts to anti-oxidant-boosting berries, blood orange compote and yoghurts, honey, maple syrup and everything in between.
There’s even a slab of all-natural honeycomb imported from Hungary that allows the honey to drop down into a pool from which diners can top their oats. For those who prefer to start their day with a comforting slice of toast, there are also mix-and-match options including eggs of your choice, smoked salmon, avocado, tomato and more.
If high protein or low fat is your thing, you’ll want to try the Spanish olive-crusted cod fillet with a white bean ‘fabada’ hearty stew; or the zingy yoghurt fritters, served with a blood orange and ginger compote and charcoal syrup.
Spinach and lentil soup now takes a full-time space on the new menu, and offers a warming treat in these cooler months, or for when the AC is too cold.
If it’s gluten-free and veggie options that you’re after, try the ever-popular pasta of the day; the yoghurt fritters and the customisable build-your-own breakfast oats.
Flow is open from 7am – 8pm Sunday – Thursday; 9am – 5pm Friday and Saturday. For more information, visit flowdubai.com.
