Disney to open new theme park and waterfront resort on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi

A brand-new Disney theme park in Abu Dhabi is officially in the works

In an exciting collaboration, The Walt Disney Company and Miral have announced plans to develop a world-class Disney resort on Yas Island, making it the first Disney destination in the Middle East and the seventh worldwide.

The resort is being developed by Miral, the team behind some of Yas Island’s most exciting attractions, including collaborations with other major global brands. While Miral will lead the development and operations, Disney will oversee the creative vision and ensure the guest experience lives up to the brand’s world-renowned standards.

With the UAE’s strategic location, just a four-hour flight from one-third of the world’s population and home to one of the busiest international travel hubs, the resort is expected to draw millions of visitors from across the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia, and Europe.

Designed to be Disney’s most advanced and interactive resort yet, the Abu Dhabi destination will feature themed accommodations, exclusive dining and retail experiences, and new ways to engage with classic Disney stories.

Whether you’re a devoted Disney fan or simply planning your next family holiday, the opening of Disneyland Abu Dhabi is set to be one of the most exciting entertainment launches in the region.
