Michelin-starred restauranteur and chef Atul Kochhar is returning to Dubai, along with the winner and runner up of MasterChef India, to serve Dubai diners for one night only.
On 20th September, guests at Rang Mahal by Atul Kochhar will have the opportunity to eat a five-course menu cooked by the MasterChef India winner Kirti Bhoutika and finalist Ashima Arora.
Both chefs will compete under the tutelage of Atul Kocchar and award winning head chef at Rang Mahal, Chef Amrish Sood to serve up the best dishes to guests. Following the final course, diners will decide who they think should be crowned winner of the evening.
Guests will have the opportunity to chat with the four chefs, over welcome drinks and canapes before the event takes place. Popular Dubai radio and TV present Tom Urquhart will entertain guests during the welcome ceremony, before guests take their seats in the restaurant. During the competition guests can choose to watch the chefs battle out in the open plan kitchen. The evening costs AED 350 per person, and includes 5 courses, a welcome drink and canapes.
Guests will be served a 5-course menu, each course to include one dish prepared by Ashima and another prepared by Kirti. The menu will include the following:
Delhi ki Chat
Corn chaat gol gappa, wasabi chutney, jeera yoghurt, mint cappuccino
Bambai ki Bhel
Salmon ceviche bhel, mango passion fruit dressing, sea salt caper cracker
Punjabi Murgh
Anardana chicken tikka, Amritsari masala hummus, Lachha paratha and plum salsa
Rogan Josh
Kashmiri lamb shepherd’s pie, Rogan josh jus
Doodh ki mithai
Raspberry kulfi, dark chocolate rabri, orange Shahi tukda, spiced meringue
Sweet potato Raj Kachori
Mini Raj Kachori, yoghurt foam, sweet potato, pomegranate chutney and crisp okra
‘Daab’ Chingri
Prawns cooked in tender coconut served with turmeric millet and tender coconut sauce
Gai yang Murgh
Thai infused chicken, Lemon sauce, kaffir lime cashew nuts
Lamb tacos
Lamb seekh Kebab, green apple salsa, fried garlic and pepper cream
‘Gajar’ halwa Baklava
Carrot halwa, Honey ginger mousse, caramelized puffed rice, honey ginger sauce, seasonal fruits
